UMANO TOCCAR is a short film that aims to depict the primary tactile, visual, and auditory contrasts characterizing a couple’s life.
During this “journey home,” a profoundly human and meditative sound emerges: the beating of their hearts (another frequency of increasingly rapid beats, but this time purely human, genuine, and free from any mechanical or electronic instrument). Once the spouses meet, their desire for contact is finally sublimated into an “embrace” (the ultimate expression of connection between two human beings), represented through their hands intertwining and weaving the symbolic object of their union: the red thread.
A sweet melody of strings and classical guitar accompanies their “sexual union.” On a sonic level, it is the complete opposite of the initial montage of mechanical noises. In the end, the representation of humanity reaches its fulfillment: the short film reveals the faces of the two lovers, their voices, and their tender communication through eyes and words.
